About The Position

WSP USA Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Construction Inspector for the inspection of water distribution systems & treatment facilities and wastewater collection systems, pump stations and treatment facilities. Your Impact Roles and Responsibilities The candidate will serve as a Construction Inspector to support our Construction management and Inspection services related to Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Projects at Charles County, MD. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide daily site inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications and codes and maintain up-to-date project records. Review Contractor submittals, requests for information, change order requests, and as-built drawings. Measure and record pay items. Coordinate job progress meeting. Communicate conditions and field conflicts/changes to Owner. Provide recommendation for field issues. Work closely with others team members, along with personnel from utilities, state, local, and federal agencies. Demonstrate independent and effective problem solving/decision making.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years’ experience in Water/Wastewater pumping stations & treatment plants.
  • Experience in field inspection, or construction supervision of civil works projects (earthwork, roads, utilities, infrastructure, paving, piping, HVAC, etc.).
  • Must possess knowledge and experience in ASTM, ACI, and other miscellaneous construction testing requirements, as well as knowledge in construction inspection procedures, and inspections methodologies, including the use of nuclear gauges, concrete sampling, and construction safety.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication and organizational skills
