About The Position

The Construction Intern supports Corvias’ construction teams by assisting with both project management and field operations for new construction, renovation, and ancillary facility projects. This internship provides hands-on exposure to how Corvias plans, builds, and delivers high-quality homes through strong partnerships, disciplined execution, and a culture of safety. The intern works alongside Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Superintendents to support day-to-day coordination, documentation, scheduling, and site activities—learning how projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and in alignment with Corvias’ mission and values.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is required.
  • Interest in learning about construction processes, project coordination, and job site operations
  • Basic familiarity with construction drawings and terminology or a willingness to learn
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills appropriate for an intern role
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks and deadlines in a structured, team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (Microsoft Word and Excel); exposure to construction software (e.g., Procore) is a plus but not required
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn in both office and field settings
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to local job sites as needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide general support to Project Managers and Superintendents with administrative and coordination tasks
  • Assist with document organization, including drawings, specifications, meeting notes, and project files
  • Help maintain accurate and organized project records within construction management systems
  • Observe on-site construction activities to gain exposure to renovation and vertical construction work
  • Participate in jobsite safety walks and safety documentation alongside the construction team
  • Communicate questions, observations, and issues to assigned Project Managers or Superintendents
  • Gain exposure to Corvias’ construction standards, quality expectations, and safety culture
  • Learn how construction projects progress from planning through execution
  • Demonstrate curiosity, accountability, and a willingness to learn
  • Support and model Corvias’ Culture of Safety
  • Other duties as assigned
