About The Position

We are hiring a Construction Manager to support Florida CDBG-funded mobile home demolition and replacement projects. This role is primarily office-based and focused on coordinating construction activities, managing subcontractor performance, issuing Notices to Proceed (NTPs), tracking schedules, and ensuring quality and documentation standards are met. The Construction Manager works closely with the Project Manager and Quality Control Lead to keep multiple projects moving efficiently, resolve issues early, and ensure subcontractors deliver work that meets program, quality, and schedule requirements. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, and who enjoys keeping projects on track through strong coordination and follow-through.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field or equivalent construction coordination/supervisory experience
  • 3+ years of experience in construction management, coordination, or field supervision
  • Experience supporting multiple active projects at the same time
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and subcontractor coordination
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and inspection requirements
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with subcontractors, Project Managers, and internal teams
  • Proficient with construction/project management software and standard office tools
  • Valid driver's license; limited travel as needed

Responsibilities

  • Construction Coordination & Oversight
  • Coordinate demolition and replacement activities for HUD-code mobile homes
  • Manage construction sequencing across multiple active sites
  • Issue Notices to Proceed (NTPs) to subcontractors when sites are ready
  • Track progress from demolition through completion and closeout
  • Ensure work aligns with approved plans, manufacturer requirements, and local codes
  • Subcontractor Oversight & Timeliness
  • Oversee subcontractor schedules, commitments, and performance
  • Confirm subcontractors understand scope, timelines, and expectations
  • Monitor timeliness and address delays or performance issues
  • Escalate risks or issues to the Project Manager with recommended solutions
  • Quality Coordination
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Quality Control Lead to ensure subcontractor work meets quality standards
  • Track and coordinate correction of QC findings
  • Ensure quality issues are resolved before inspections or milestone approvals
  • Support preparation for program, third-party, or municipal inspections
  • Schedule & Production Tracking
  • Maintain accurate construction status for assigned sites
  • Identify schedule risks early and support recovery planning
  • Provide reliable production data to the Project Manager
  • Support consistent production flow across multiple sites
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of:
  • Site photos
  • Inspection and QC documentation
  • Subcontractor confirmations
  • Field notes and change conditions
  • Maintain organized records to support PM reporting, audits, and closeout
  • Understand that clear documentation is critical in publicly funded programs
  • Communication & Coordination
  • Provide regular, concise updates to the Project Manager
  • Coordinate with Quality Control, Permitting, Compliance, and Accounting teams as needed
  • Communicate professionally with subcontractors, inspectors, and internal stakeholders
  • Raise issues early with context and proposed solutions
