CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager to join our Water Team in Charlotte, NC or Greenville, SC and play a key role in delivering high ‑ quality, on ‑ site construction oversight. Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Engineering Science, Construction Services, or a related technical field required or equivalent combination of education and experience required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or a similar role required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of construction safety and quality standards
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel required
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with construction management software and tools preferred
  • PACP (pipe), MACP (manhole), LACP (lateral) certifications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead day to day construction oversight to keep projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned with specifications
  • Coordinate closely with contractors and clients to maintain communication, resolve issues, and ensure satisfaction
  • Conduct regular site visits to verify compliance with plans, safety standards, and quality expectations
  • Manage and document work orders, pay applications, and inspection reports with accuracy and timeliness
  • Oversee project controls, schedules, and interdisciplinary coordination across teams
  • Review change order requests, develop estimates, negotiate costs, and support stakeholders and regulatory engagement
