About The Position
The construction safety manager will oversee safety for the on-site roofing contractor. Oversight of a crew of 50 installing roofing membrane and sheet metal. Signing off on scaffolding each morning, filling out PTPs, enforcing site safety guidelines and protocols, keeping crew working safely, and attending weekly safety meetings. They expect the safety person to help shape the safety program.
Requirements
- BCSP- CHST or 4-year safety degree
- OSHA 30
- Bilingual- Spanish/English
Nice To Haves
- OSHA outreach training experience (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
- Monitor OSHA compliance
- Upload documentation into Procore
- Daily safety reports
- Track workforce safety compliance
- Maintain safety logs and compliance records
- Fall protection enforcement (CRITICAL priority)
- Provide safety training as needed
- Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols
- Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
- Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required
