Generous paid holidays and paid time off Opportunities for continuing education and professional development Hours: Monday-Friday 7 am-3:30 pm Onsite Summary/ Objective: The Construction Services Specialist is primarily responsible for activities related to the Direct Through Stock (DTS / Stage and Store), Strut Services, Kitting and Conduit Fabrication service programs. The position is responsible for prioritizing, coordinating and scheduling these activities in addition to performing the required work to complete the tasks. Completed products or services must be of the highest quality. Tasks must be completed to the approved customers request or specifications. Accuracy, timeliness of production and delivery and professional quality of the finished product are of extreme importance.

• This position is not a supervisory role and does not have any direct reports.
• This job primarily operates in a warehouse and light manufacturing setting. Several tasks would require the lifting of heavy material or repetitive motion activity. Wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is necessary when performing certain tasks. Steel toe safety shoes are always required.
• This position requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, internet, smart phones, and photocopiers.
• Strong math skills, able to calculate the best usage of material to eliminate waste.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for DTS activities. This includes photographing incoming DTS shipments and uploading those images on the I:Drive, cycle counting DTS material, and preparing outbound DTS shipments based on customer releases.
• Responsible for Strut Service activities. This includes cutting lengths of strut to required dimensions, stacking and packaging accordingly for shipping, properly labeling finished material. At the completion of a job, remove all scrap and clean machinery.
• Responsible for Kitting Service activities. This includes double checking the materials staged by the warehouse for accuracy, breakout and placement of materials to be combined in kits, place all required components in the properly sized kit bin, and double check kits for accuracy. Once proper materials are in the bin, secure the bin and label accordingly per the customers instructions. Clean and prepare area for the next project.
• Responsible for Conduit Service activities. This includes the bending of EMT, IMC and GRC conduit up to 4 trade size. Other activities include cutting and threading conduit to customer specifications. Once completed, the finished product needs to be double checked for accuracy and quality. At the completion of a job, remove all scrap and clean machinery.
• Create long and short-term production schedules including setting targets for milestones.
• Adhere to deadlines to ensure project timeline is successfully met.
• Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project.
• Serve as a point of contact for the Construction Team when multiple dept or territories are involved in the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy.
• Communicate with the Construction Field Services Manager with manpower needs to keep the project progressing and ensure proper alignment of tasks.
• Perform quality assessments on the project throughout post-sale activity to ensure inbound delivery is achieved, any necessary claims are processed, damages or missing goods are reordered, and item or pallet storage is coordinated in way to ensure outbound delivery is seamless and will meet specified timeframes.
• Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
• Continually evaluate processes and investigate steps to make improvements with productivity.
• Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
• Adjust schedules and targets on the project tracking sheet as needed based on construction timeline or manufacture lead times.
• Suggest need for resources, processes, systems, and equipment to ensure successful execution.
• Identify and report identified operational risks and issues.
• Ensure efficiency and safety.
