About The Position

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Construction Worker to safely and efficiently perform various physical duties on highway, heavy, and marine construction projects. The ideal candidate is hardworking, dependable, and eager to learn while contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Prior construction experience is a plus
• Competent and proficient in using small hand tools
• Ability to pass pre-employment assessments (background check, MVR, drug test, and physical)
• Valid driver’s license
• TWIC card
• Reliable transportation
• Steel-toe work boots
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
• Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks for extended periods
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in awkward positions
• Ability to work in all weather conditions

Nice To Haves

• Prior construction experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform various physical duties as assigned on construction sites
• Dig trenches, hand mix and place concrete, and set trench bracing
• Maintain all safety standards and company policies
• Maintain a clean job site daily by picking up tools and equipment, securing the job site, and eliminating potential hazards
• Move, secure, install, build, load, and unload building materials
• Move tools, equipment, or other materials as directed
• Perform specialized tasks which may require on-the-job training
• Assist other craft workers as needed (equipment operators, cement finishers, pipe layers, etc.)
• Effectively use and operate a variety of hand tools (hammers, picks, rakes, shovels) and power tools (jackhammers, torches, skill saws, pipe cutters, concrete mixers, water pumps, etc.)
