This role builds upon foundational tax and technology skills to support client engagements, configure systems, and contribute to project success. Tax Consultants are expected to demonstrate growing independence in problem-solving, communication, and technical execution, while collaborating closely with senior team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Tax or related field
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of sales and use tax law and compliance.
  • Strong data analysis and validation capabilities.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and tax engines (e.g., Vertex, SAP, OneSource).
  • Experience with implementation templates and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Excel and internal tax software tools.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and initiative in problem-solving.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications not required but beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and process client data to support tax software configuration.
  • Perform mapping analysis and translate findings into tax solutions.
  • Validate and audit data inputs for accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Communicate project updates and technical details effectively.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of implementation steps and client interactions.
  • Support client training and onboarding activities as needed.
