We’re looking for a highly creative, bilingual (English/Spanish) social content producer who lives and breathes digital culture and understands how to engage a SoCal audience. The role centers on creating, filming, and editing compelling short form videos, developing social concepts, jumping on trends, and managing daily posting and audience interaction across platforms. You’ll collaborate with Programming, Promotions, and Digital teams to elevate the station’s online presence. Light on air duties will be required.

Requirements

  • Socially informed and perceptive; highly in tune with Southern California trends and cultural conversations.
  • Pleasant, charismatic, and well‑controlled voice with excellent pronunciation.
  • Strong communication skills for conducting interviews, both on-air and on-camera.
  • Able to create a comfortable environment that encourages guests and callers to open up.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills; strong grammar proficiency.
  • Proficient in media production and broadcast systems.
  • Proficient in video editing and social media content creation.
  • May require selling skills.
  • Requires full professional proficiency in both Spanish and English.
  • 1–2 years of experience as an announcer in a smaller market, college station, or equivalent on-air environment; and/or experience in a social content creation role.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Communications, Broadcast Journalism, Media, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Creates, edits, and publishes social media content across multiple platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, etc.).
  • Shoots and edits vertical and horizontal video optimized for social engagement.
  • Films behind‑the‑scenes content during shows, events, interviews, and station activations.
  • Writes social copy and captions that match station voice and drive engagement.
  • Collaborates with Programming, Digital, and Promotions teams to execute content strategies.
  • Tracks and responds to social trends, challenges, and emerging digital behaviors relevant to the SoCal audience.
  • Manages daily posting schedules, real‑time content, and audience interaction.
  • Ensures brand consistency across digital and on‑air platforms.
  • Uses analytics tools to evaluate performance and recommend improvements.
  • Requires the ability to speak, read, and write in both English and Spanish.
  • Comments on music and relevant topics of interest to the audience (e.g., time, weather, traffic conditions).
  • Conducts on-air interviews with musical artists, public figures, and members of the listening audience.
  • Specializes in a particular format or genre of music (e.g., pop, rock, country, etc.).
  • Writes, reviews, and/or edits on-air content including news copy, introductions, public service announcements, commercials, pre-recorded reports, contests, and other segments.
  • Participates in promotional events, appearances, and station initiatives.
  • Operates the control board for studio and remote programming, as needed.
  • May directly sell advertising space to clients.
  • Regulates program timing, manages syndicated programming, and plays commercials.
  • Monitors the technical quality and accuracy of outgoing and incoming on-air signals.
  • Protects the station’s license by censoring live content and removing prohibited words/phrases.
  • Processes time-out programming for accurate playback.
  • Checks studio equipment functionality and notifies Engineering of technical issues.
  • Executes emergency inserts (e.g., breaking news, EAS tests, and alerts).
