About The Position

The Walt Disney Studios Content Security organization is chartered with the securing and protection of all creative content throughout the production lifecycle. We do this by relying on deep technical expertise, strong and authentic partnerships and leveraging knowledge and best practices of the world of cybersecurity, technology and production. The Content Security organization is a part of the broader Studio Technology organization, reporting into the Studio’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This role, Content Security Engineer, reports into Director, Content Security Engineering and is a Monday to Thursday in the office in-person role based in Glendale, CA. Fridays are remote. This Engineer will be part of a strong technical consulting team of seasoned Engineers. This role is best suited for someone who is a curious and driven early-career professional, excited to grow in the intersection of technology and entertainment. The successful candidate is someone who brings strong fundamentals in security or cloud infrastructure and a passion for working alongside creative technologists. In this role, they will have the opportunity to learn from seasoned engineers, contribute to meaningful assessment and protection efforts, and help safeguard Disney’s content.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field or equivalent years of experience
  • 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure, or cloud operations.
  • Foundational understanding of security principles such as least privilege, segmentation, and secure configurations.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Basic scripting or automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
  • Interest in application security, secure development practices, and media workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills in documentation and coordination.
  • Eagerness to learn and collaborate in a multidisciplinary, fast-moving environment.
  • Eagerness to explore and apply AI/ML and automation to enhance security and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical assessments of internal and third-party applications and cloud platforms.
  • Review security configurations of SaaS, cloud, on-prem, and AI/ML environments; where regular use of the same toolings emerge, assist with documentation and publishing of Secure Configuration Requirements
  • Contribute to remediation recommendations & guidelines based on our findings under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to consult and apply content security guidelines/ standards to content workflows
  • Perform basic source code, API, or configuration reviews with approved tooling.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive security tasks and contribute to the development of automation scripts or tools.
