About The Position

Job Summary: Working alongside a cross functional team and assist our existing Continuous Improvement team in successful completion of various continuous improvement projects geared towards improving operational efficiency, reduction in waste and increase in productivity throughout our manufacturing plant.

Requirements

  • Microsoft Office Suite Competency
  • Ability to work and communicate to cross functional teams
  • Must have 1-2 Semesters experience in CAD/SolidWorks
  • Uncontrolled environmental conditions: noise, dust, dirt, mobile equipment, and walking surfaces strewn with materials, power cords and tools is typical.
  • Occasional lifting up to 15 lbs.
  • Any combination of standing, bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling and walking 8 to 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to work up to 8-10 hour shifts and overtime as required by the work.
  • Use of all limbs, dexterous and steady use of hands and arms for long periods of time.
  • Simultaneous mental and muscular coordination, visual and audio awareness of surrounding area

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred knowledge of Excel’s Data Analysis add in
  • Technical knowledge of metalworking processes is a plus
  • Working knowledge of CAD Drafting with Dassault Systems SolidWorks & DraftSight

Responsibilities

  • Lead and assist in design and development of manufacturing process and inspection documentation with part requirement analysis to easily interpreted production documentation.
  • Participate in the systematic identification, classification, and prioritization of 8 Wastes of Lean and respective elimination thereof in target work cells as instructed.
  • Familiarity with statistical data analysis methodologies, and ability to collect, evaluate, and articulate data to drive results.
  • Uses intermediate level mastery of; Root Cause Analysis, Visual Factory, 5S, Workflow Analysis, Value Stream Mapping, SMED and other Lean & Six Sigma methodologies.
