Job Summary: Identify opportunities to increase effectiveness and efficiency in Forj Medical’s Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance processes and activities. Identified opportunities are prioritized based on impact/benefit to Forj Medical and/or it’s customers. The CI Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree (preferably in an engineering field) from four-year college or university, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of at least two (2) years of experience in the medical device and/or biotechnology industry
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Strong problem-solving
  • Project management
  • Knowledge of continuous tools such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma
  • Change management
  • Cross functional collaboration
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data to plan, organize, and execute continuous improvement activities.
  • Establish continuous improvement goals and execute plans to deliver goal achievement.
  • Collaborate with Forj Medical Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality Assurance to identify and prioritize continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with Forj Medical cross-functional leadership to establish and maintain a continuous improvement mindset across the organization.
  • Assists Manufacturing Engineers as needed to improve manufacturing yield rates, equipment up time, and/or throughput.
  • Assists Quality Assurance Engineers as needed to address product quality issues.
  • Provide training as needed for updated processes.
  • Track continuous improvement results and prepare and present continuous improvement project updates to the Forj Medical leadership.
