About The Position

Continuous Improvement Engineer is a result-oriented position that is responsible for leading the identification and implementation of process enhancements across the organization. A critical role in evaluating, designing, and implementing business processes to boost efficiency, quality reduce waste, and elevate the client experience using lean methodologies. The role requires data analysis, process mapping, problem solving, project management and the ability to foster a culture of ongoing continuous improvement. The role requires to be a key change agent with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate Kaizens, solve problems, provide value added recommendations and establish sustainable standardized standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Lean six sigma certification or two plus years’ experience in using lean methodologies.
  • 2+ years of experience in process analysis, business analysis, or operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to gather, interpret, and present data.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in process mapping tools (Visio, Lucidchart, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.
  • Stationary Position – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
  • Move or Traverse – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc. May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.
  • Dexterity – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.
  • Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs.
  • Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information - The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess - The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).

Responsibilities

  • Data driven problem solving : Analyzes current operating procedures and production data to identity bottlenecks and areas of optimization. This responsibility includes existing workflows across departments (legal, intake, operations, client services) & mapping processes that have not been documented to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Facilitation of collaborative events : Facilitate Kaizens, process mapping sessions, and stakeholder interviews to gather insight into information that will support ideas to improve current state business processes. The impact must be measurable and meet key performance indicators.
  • Process designing : Develop process maps, documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Leverage data analysis and metrics to measure process performance and outcomes. Collaborate with technology teams to recommend or implement automation and system improvements. Design and implement optimized processes that balance efficiency, compliance, and client satisfaction.
  • Training & coaching : Mentor employees at all levels, fostering a proactive mindset and ensuring team members are proficient in CI tools and standard operating procedures. Lead training and change management efforts to ensure team adoption of new processes.
  • Sustainability: Conduct regular audits on implemented solutions, monitor performance KIP’s and trends to assure changes are sustainable and to identify additional continuous improvement opportunities.
