About The Position

We’re looking for a hands-on Continuous Improvement Engineer/Specialist who combines strong data and computer skills with practical shop-floor experience. This role focuses on using dashboards, automated reporting, and data analysis to drive productivity, cost, and efficiency improvements in a chemical batch manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a continuous improvement, manufacturing, engineering, or operations-focused role
  • Strong computer and data skills, including advanced Excel and experience with dashboards or BI tools (Power BI or similar)
  • Experience automating reports or workflows
  • Proven ability to identify and implement productivity, efficiency, or cost-reduction projects
  • Chemical industry or batch manufacturing experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
  • Experience with Power Automate or similar automation tools

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain dashboards to track key manufacturing KPIs such as productivity, throughput, quality, cost, and safety
  • Automate recurring reports and data pulls to reduce manual effort and improve data accuracy
  • Analyze production and process data to identify bottlenecks, losses, and improvement opportunities
  • Lead 5S initiatives in partnership with department leaders and supervisors, ensuring sustainability and standardization
  • Drive continuous improvement and productivity projects within the manufacturing operation
  • Apply CI tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, standard work, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis
  • Generate routine performance and CI reports and work closely with the Corporate Center of Excellence (COE) to align methods, metrics, and best practices
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to implement and sustain improvements
  • Track, validate, and report measurable benefits from improvement initiatives
