Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and strategic Continuous Improvement Specialist to drive operational excellence and promote a culture of continuous improvement across functional groups. This role will focus on helping teams achieve Process Maturity—characterized by data-driven decision-making, standardized processes, and proactive problem-solving. The specialist will also support project management (PM) and testing activities for IT enhancements and system integrations, ensuring alignment between business needs and technology solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in continuous improvement, process optimization, or project management.
• Familiarity with maturity models (e.g., CMMI, BPMM) and Lean/Six Sigma principles.
• Experience with IT systems, ERP platforms, or integration projects.
• Strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or Agile preferred.
• Eager to learn and develop new skills.
• Results-driven with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
• Proactive and innovative mindset.
• Ability to adapt to change.
• Detail-oriented with a willingness to take on new challenges.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with tools like Visio, Jira, Confluence, Power BI, or Tableau. IBM Blueworks Live is a plus.
• Ability to influence change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Comfort working in a hybrid or matrixed organizational structure.
• Experience Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing or lean environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess current process maturity levels, identify gaps and prioritize areas of opportunity.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile methodologies.
• Develop and implement process improvement plans with measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize workflows and documentation.
• Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to ensure sustained improvements.
• Partner with IT and business stakeholders to define requirements for system enhancements.
• Assist in planning, testing, and validating new integrations or upgrades.
• Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure functional alignment.
• Document test cases, results, and feedback for continuous refinement.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business users to ensure seamless implementation.
• Lead or support improvement initiatives using structured project management tools.
• Track progress, risks, and deliverables across multiple projects.
• Prepare reports and presentations for leadership on project outcomes and maturity progress.
