About The Position

Turner Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Contract Drilling Trainer to support operations at a mine site in Kingman, Arizona. This position will be responsible for training and developing drill operators to ensure safe, efficient, and productive drilling operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating production drills in a mining environment and a strong ability to coach and mentor operators in the field.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• 5+ years of experience operating production drills in a mining environment
• Experience operating drills such as Epiroc, Sandvik, or similar production drilling equipment preferred
• Previous experience training, mentoring, or leading operators strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of drilling operations, safety procedures, and production best practices
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to effectively coach and develop operators with varying levels of experience
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, dust, and noise
• Ability to climb on and around large mining equipment
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in an active mine site environment for extended periods
• Must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and adhere to all MSHA regulations and site-specific safety policies.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating drills such as Epiroc, Sandvik, or similar production drilling equipment preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on training and instruction for drill operators on production drilling equipment
• Ensure operators are trained on proper drilling techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation
• Evaluate operator performance and provide coaching to improve productivity, efficiency, and safety
• Assist with onboarding and training new drill operators on site-specific procedures and equipment
• Work closely with site leadership and safety teams to ensure compliance with MSHA regulations and company safety standards
• Identify skill gaps and develop training plans to improve operator capabilities
• Assist operators with troubleshooting operational issues and best practices for equipment performance
• Promote a strong safety culture and reinforce safe work practices during all training activities
• Maintain training documentation and provide updates to site leadership on operator progress
