About The Position

The primary function of the Contract Paralegal is the administration and organization of LES’s existing contracts; the negotiation and revision of customer agreements and other contracts based on LES templates; Reviewing and commenting on RFP and RFQ proposals prior to bid submission; and general assistance to the members of the Leadership and other duties as assigned. The role will require working closely with numerous divisions of LES including EH&S, Sales, Operations, and Purchasing.

  • Strong interpersonal skills over the phone and in person with the ability to effectively work with others to solicit and share information.

  • Organized and analytic in thinking style and approach to work; extremely strong attention to detail is crucial
  • Flexible and adaptable when requested to make change in work assignment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High energy and the ability to manage multiple assignments initiatives and work well under pressure and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Exemplary business ethics, professionalism, and integrity
  • Relies on solid experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • Paralegal experience or certification required
  • 2-5 years of contract management (review, writing, redlining and negotiating) experience or other related experience with contracting in a corporate environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare various customer, sales, and purchasing contracts
  • Negotiate contract terms with internal and external business partners
  • Review and update existing contracts
  • Explain terms and conditions to managers and interested parties
  • Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract terms
  • Maintain organized system of physical and digital records
  • Create language standards for existing and new contracts
  • Prepare contract change notices and the reporting and status of LES and customer deliverables.
  • Prepare and disseminate information to appropriate employees regarding contract status and facilitate meetings when necessary.
  • Analyze and mitigate risk.
  • Ensure contract execution in accordance with company policy.
  • Complete registrations and submissions for vendor credentialing such as ISNetworld and Avetta.
  • Review and analyze private and public RFP’s and RFQ’s
  • Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
