About The Position

Tecovas was founded with the simple goal of making the world's best western boots, apparel, and leather goods - and selling them at a fair price. We are a brand revolutionizing a category and welcoming first-time boot buyers and western enthusiasts alike. Tecovas is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Contract Producer to support our Senior Producer in delivering exceptional photo, video, and content productions. This role will help execute approximately one production per month—ranging from large-scale campaign shoots to smaller field productions. You’ll oversee all pre- and post-production workflows, ensure cross-functional alignment, maintain timelines, and bring creative concepts to life through seamless execution. This is a hybrid role and is required to be based in Austin, TX. This role requires periodic travel for on-location shoots and close collaboration with creative, content, strategy, and post-production teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Deep understanding of budgeting, cost negotiation, and financial management.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, communication abilities, and attention to detail—capable of managing multiple concurrent productions with ease.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and highly productive within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Skilled at navigating tight timelines and shifting priorities with calm, collaborative problem-solving.
  • Strong expertise and enthusiasm for video production, photography, content capture, and digital/social content formats.
  • Ability to translate creative concepts into on-brand production executions.
  • Strong instincts for anticipating needs, evaluating from multiple perspectives, and making confident, informed decisions.
  • Proven ability to assess and refine processes, with hands-on experience implementing improvements.
  • A positive, solutions-oriented approach and the desire to collaborate across teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in photography studios or fashion/retail advertising, marketing, or creative departments is a strong plus.
  • Team management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading multiple production teams across diverse environments (in-house, off-site, outsourced, etc.).
  • Strong product sensibility and a passion for product-focused marketing.
  • Working familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and drive all pre-production and post-production milestones for a range of photo, video, and content shoots—including casting, crew sourcing, location management, shot lists, scheduling, wrap-out, invoicing, and more.
  • Lead pre-production meetings to ensure campaign concepts are executed authentically and aligned with strategic and creative direction.
  • Collaborate closely with post-production teams to ensure timely delivery of all required assets.
  • Keep complex production timelines on track through proactive communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Assess, negotiate, and execute contracts, usage rights, and fees in alignment with project budgets and campaign goals—including full budget reconciliation.
  • Maintain and continually update a master production schedule, reflecting all active projects and upcoming shoots.
  • Operate with a growth mindset—seeking and implementing improvements to workflows, tools, processes, and feedback loops to drive efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with Senior Production Coordinator to tag team production tasks
