About The Position

Nintendo Technology Development, a subsidiary of Nintendo Co., Ltd., is seeking a candidate to assist in the development of future hardware and software technologies. This position involves gathering requirements from internal software developers, creating documentation to facilitate software development, and producing production-ready code with guidance from senior engineers. The role also includes assisting developers with software deployment to Kubernetes environments, managing and monitoring Kubernetes infrastructure, and supporting the installation of software applications and operating systems for development and server applications. Collaboration with peer groups and other teams across Nintendo is essential.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong problem solving and debugging skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of software product development, related tools and testing paradigms
  • 2 years of experience with Kubernetes infrastructure deployment, management, and monitoring
  • Experience with infrastructure creation & maintenance (VMs, Containers, Cloud-based infrastructure)
  • Experience with one of the following programming languages: C# (Preferred), Java, Python, or equivalent
  • Experience with one of the following scripting languages: PowerShell, Bash, Ruby, or equivalent
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Certification in Kubernetes application deployment or infrastructure management a plus

Responsibilities

  • Gather requirements from internal software developers to learn what build or test jobs are needed
  • Create concise, easy to read documents to facilitate efficient software development
  • Produces production-ready code to defined specifications with assistance and review from more senior engineers
  • Assists developers with converting and deploying software/services to Kubernetes environments
  • Manages and monitors Kubernetes infrastructure & deployments
  • Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems for development and server applications
  • Collaborates with peer groups and other teams across Nintendo
