About The Position

PolyCon Solutions seeks an experienced Contract Specialist to join our team. As a Contract Specialist, you will have a critical role in supporting client satisfaction while serving as a trusted adviser to the client in all acquisition-related matters. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and technology savvy. They bring a thorough understanding of the complete acquisition lifecycle and superior writing skills. This individual must be able to draft various sections of a contract using the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Acquisition Management System (AMS) and, using their technical knowledge, manage deliverables as they move through the approval process. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and will be required to collaborate in a virtual environment using various technologies, including SharePoint, Teams, Zoom, Google Chat, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and using its Acquisition Management System (AMS) is a must.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with collaboration and productivity tools, including Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Project and Excel.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in awarding and/or administering various Federal contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Using AMS, provide guidance and support for complex requirements.
  • Draft and/or update artifacts that support the entire acquisition process, including but not limited to: Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), Performance Work Statements (PWS), Statement of Work (SOW), Statement of Objectives (SOO), Market Surveys, etc.
  • Apply knowledge of the Uniform Contract Format (UCF) when drafting or updating solicitation packages.
  • Collaborate with contract support personnel to ensure awareness of relevant policies, procedures, and program goals, and contribute to maintaining quality and follow-through in work efforts.
  • Prepare and/or validate monthly status reports (MSR).
  • Participate in program meetings with Government personnel and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain documentation on the repository and collaborate using Teams or SharePoint to ensure deliverables are tracked and managed.
