About The Position

The individual in this position is primarily responsible for assisting ACA’s Legal Department with preparing, negotiating, tracking, and organizing client engagement agreements, confidentiality agreements, and other contracts. The individual in this position is also responsible for assisting the Legal Department with a variety of projects across a range of areas and will be integral to its efficient operation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • One year’s prior experience as a contracts specialist or paralegal required
  • Ability to exercise discretion and make independent judgments on matters of significance
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality with respect to sensitive ACA corporate and client information
  • Dependable, flexible, and adaptable to new ACA initiatives and changing client needs
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Highly motivated and goal oriented; proactive in one’s own education and career progression; volunteers for and shows initiative on both internal and external projects and tasks
  • Dedicated to upholding ACA’s high-quality standards and customer service focus
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat, and the Internet
  • Willing to undertake minimal travel

Nice To Haves

  • Contract drafting experience and/or in an in-house setting
  • Certificate in paralegal studies or contracts

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing, negotiating, tracking, and organizing client engagement agreements, confidentiality agreements, and other contracts, under the oversight of senior contract personnel
  • Communicate and interact with ACA clients, service providers, internal stakeholders, and others regarding delivery of contracts and other information under the oversight of senior contract personnel
  • Assist with maintaining ACA’s corporate records and legal files
  • Assist with scheduling and the preparation of materials and notes/minutes in connection with corporate governance matters
  • Assist with creating, maintaining and updating Legal Department templates and files
  • Perform ad-hoc work/special projects as necessary to support ACA on various client and internal initiatives
