As a Control Systems Senior Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and refining the electronic systems that power our machines—ensuring they deliver the right features and performance for every challenge. You’ll collaborate with engineers, leverage the latest tools and drive rigorous development processes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. Level Extensive Experience:
  • Communicating Complex Concepts: Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience.
  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation.
  • Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
  • Product Testing: Knowledge of product testing approaches, techniques and tools; ability to design, plan and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure product quality at all stages of manufacturing.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical components / systems experience.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot basic machine wiring issues
  • Experience developing embedded real-time software or systems for mobile, earthmoving, agricultural, industrial, or off-highway applications
  • Experience with FMEA processes and a basic knowledge of electronic system failure modes

Responsibilities

  • Design advanced electrical control systems and integrating electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Design and implement control logic and procedures to control and enhance electro-mechanical systems and mechatronic devices performance in collaboration with machine product teams.
  • Assess the feasibility of product and subsystem requirements and refine them into a clear, unambiguous, and verifiable set.
  • Translate the refined requirements into detailed specifications that guide the design, development, and implementation of the system.
  • Work with the verification team to ensure proper test plans are in place.
  • Analyze field data to diagnose control logic and field issues.
