About the Role: The Material Requirements Planning Controller is responsible for estimating and establishing daily production plans to maximize available machine capacity and ensure effective utilization of labor, tools, and equipment. Adjusts plans based on current operating conditions and coordinates and communicates updates with other departments as needed. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, company policies, KPIs, procedures, and values to meet production, distribution, and inventory targets.

Requirements

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience in inventory control or plant production
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of the building and construction industry
Knowledge of insulation manufacturing products and processes preferred
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a matrixed environment
Ability to communicate effectively throughout the organization
Ability to make quick, thorough decisions
Ability to motivate and energize a team to produce winning solutions
Ability to partner with and support colleagues both internally and externally
Ability to work hands-on in an industrial manufacturing environment, as well as in a corporate environment, as applicable

Responsibilities

Create, maintain, and distribute production schedules for assigned machines, supporting fulfillment of customer orders and planned inventory stocking requirements while maximizing machine utilization.
Maintain and update Excel product family worksheets as needed to monitor inventory levels and plan production across locations within scope of responsibility.
Communicate daily with Plant Supervision to ensure adherence to schedules for assigned machines and to maintain accuracy and integrity of machine schedules.
Communicate production schedule changes in a timely and efficient manner to appropriate personnel.
Partner with Customer Service to address required adjustments to ship dates and shipping locations to meet customer order requirements.
Initiate intra-company inventory transfers based on business trends and stocking requirements to support effective customer order fulfillment.
Support the Supply Planning Manager in adjusting annual production and inventory plans by monitoring performance metrics and market fluctuations.
Collaborate with the Inventory Analyst to monitor inventory turns for assigned products and/or locations, ensuring adherence to the Inventory Business Rules process.
Create purchase orders and releases for finished goods inventory purchased for resale within assigned responsibility.
