About The Position
Elemental LED is a leading U.S.-based engineering and technology company that creates, develops, manufactures, markets, and sells innovative, configured, and integrated LED lighting solutions. The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN) has awarded Elemental LED as the "Company of the Year-Large" at the 7th Annual EDAWN Existing Awards event and "Employees First - Large" at the 10th Annual EDAWN Existing Industry Awards event. The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Controller in a part-time temporary capacity to support our Finance team for approximately three (3) months. This role will be hands-on and focused on maintaining strong financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, and supporting ongoing process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field required
- 10-15+ years of relevant and progressive accounting/finance experience
- Prior Controller experience required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
- Experience in month-end close, financial reporting, and audit support
- Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality
- Ability to quickly assess systems and processes
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Accurate and timely financial reporting
- High attention to detail with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- CPA preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Support audit, tax filings, and external reporting as needed
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements where appropriate
