Requirements

  • High school diploma or associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Controls, Automation, or a related field required. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in systems integration within mission-critical data center environments.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, programming, integrating, and commissioning PLC, DDC, SCADA, and related control systems for Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS).
  • Working knowledge of industrial control panel design, including familiarity with UL 508A standards, as well as instrumentation and controls principles.
  • Ability to develop, interpret, and maintain engineering and technical documentation, including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, sequences of operation (SOO), wiring diagrams, and control submittals.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex control system issues, resolve problems efficiently, and manage multiple projects or priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, contractors, vendors, and end users.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed for project execution, commissioning, training, and industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Developing automation solutions, including design specifications, software configuration, testing, startup and commissioning of data center EPMS and BMS facility support systems.
  • Designing automation control systems, creating technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with client and industry standards.
  • Diagnosing and resolving complex automation problems.
  • Programming PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Rockwell), DDCs (e.g., Distech, Niagara) and SCADA systems (e.g., Ignition, FactoryTalk).
  • Managing project deliverables, timelines, and budgets while coordinating with clients, vendors, and team members.
