About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the Banquet Convention Porter is to provide courteous, friendly service to customers or guests during meetings and banquet functions. Age Requirement: 21 Work Cards Required : Health Card ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Set tables by arranging place setting in accordance with prescribed procedures. Pick up litter or trash from public areas. Strike or clean a banquet or function room by removing tables, linens, trash, etc. Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have worked or is currently working a customer service position Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner. Work requires schedule flexibility which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Must possess the skills to lift, push or pull convention tables, chairs, and other convention equipment. Must be able to work high-volume, high-profile events not limited to New Year’s Eve or Super Bowl. Must present a neat and professional appearance with good hygiene. Work requires interactions with customers, the public and co-workers. Work requires teamwork with other staff members.
