About The Position
The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about preparing healthy and tasty meals. They have a solid understanding of flavor profiles, menu development while excelling at customer service. Those who have a lot of experience cooking in a restaurant and are ready for a more stable, calm environment may particularly enjoy this position. This position is essential to food production across all meal service times and to multiple locations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- NYS/NYC Food Handlers Certification required
- 3 years of professional cooking experience, preferably large batch cooking
- Desire and willingness to make good nutrition part of cooking process
Nice To Haves
- Servsafe Certification preferred, but not required
- Passion, creativity and awareness of food trends/tailoring food to appropriate audiences is desirable
- Relevant personal experience is a plus.
