About The Position

Follow the instructions of the Chef and Sous Chef to help ensure high-quality food service is provided.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Must possess basic cooking skills and have a basic understanding of cleaning and sanitizing in a kitchen setting.
  • Most possess good knife skills.
  • Must possess knowledge of kitchen equipment.
  • Must possess the ability to obtain a Minnesota Racing Commission gaming license.

Responsibilities

  • Rotate inventory and ensure freshness of product.
  • Refill items that require prepping.
  • Prepare sauces and intermediate items while following recipes.
  • Prepare orders in a quick and consistent time frame.
  • Clean the Concessions area during downtime.
  • Prepare recipes for the line.
  • Possess knowledge of the current menu items.
  • Use creativity with specials.
  • Clean various kitchen equipment as needed.
  • Restock and clean the line as needed.
  • Ensure set up is thorough and complete for next shift.
  • Familiarity with the following equipment (training in use provided): fryer, char broiler, flat-top, hot well, walk-in refrigerator, walk-in freezer, assortment of knives, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
