As part of our Food & Beverage team, you’ll help serve delicious meals in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that reflects our mission of inclusion and excellence. The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of menu items according to established recipes and food safety standards. This individual will ensure high-quality food presentation, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and support the overall food service operation in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate thrives in a team-oriented environment and consistently delivers outstanding service to our guests.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or food service setting preferred
  • Valid Texas Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Understanding of food safety, cross-contamination, and proper food handling techniques
  • Ability to read and follow recipes and instructions with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in hot or fast-paced environments
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • Background check and drug test required upon employment offer

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
  • Experience in high-volume food preparation and catering environments
  • Basic knife skills and understanding of commercial kitchen equipment
  • Ability to adapt to changing menus or guest needs with professionalism and positivity

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes and portion control guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all kitchen areas, including food prep, storage, and equipment
  • Follow food safety procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen and service staff to ensure efficient food service operations
  • Set up and stock workstations before shifts and break down stations at closing
  • Monitor food quality, temperatures, and presentation for consistency and compliance
  • Assist with receiving, labeling, and storing deliveries properly
  • Maintain inventory of food items and communicate supply needs to the supervisor
  • Support the catering team with food prep and execution for special events as needed
