Role Overview: The Cook is a valued Dining Services Residential Department member responsible for
assisting
in producing over 10,000 meals every week.
Their primary duty is to
assist in preparing high-quality, nutritious meals that are properly seasoned and meet established standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of1year of ProfessionalCulinaryExperience

Responsibilities

• CulinarySupport: Under the direction of the Production Manager, prepare food items according to established recipes and menus in a way that preserves food freshness, quality, and appeal.
• Kitchen Support: Store food items according to established standards of practice; utilize proper labeling and dating.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Maintain production records and logs (food usage, overages, shortages, customer counts, etc.).Maintaina cleanand sanitized work.Ensures that all sanitation guidelines, health codes set by local and state Health Departments, as well as OSHA, are being followed.
