Provides operational and logistical support to the Clinical Engineering department by assisting with equipment movement, coordinating service activities, and maintaining the accuracy and functionality of the Real Time Location Services (RTLS) system. This position serves as the primary support role for retrieving equipment from clinical departments after work orders are submitted, coordinating equipment delivery and pickup with the assigned driver, and communicating with off-site technical partners regarding equipment service needs. The Equipment Coordinator also maintains and supports RTLS technologies including asset tracking tags, staff duress badges, infant security tags, and environmental monitoring sensors. As workload allows, this role will shadow Biomedical Equipment Technicians to gain exposure to equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and hospital medical technology systems in preparation for potential advancement into a Biomedical Equipment Technician role.
