About The Position

The Coordinator for Student Conduct supports the college’s student conduct system by administering conduct processes, promoting community standards, and fostering student learning and development. The position is responsible for case management, adjudication, educational sanctions, and outreach designed to promote accountability, safety, and student success. Develops and implements educational programming that promotes healthy lifestyles, including prevention and awareness initiatives related to alcohol and other drug use, consent, sexual misconduct, and Title IX compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Previous paraprofessional or professional experience in a college setting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned student conduct cases from intake through resolution, ensuring fair, timely, and developmentally appropriate processes.
  • Serve as a hearing officer for administrative hearings related to violations of the Code of Student Conduct by investigating alleged policy violations, including gathering statements, reviewing evidence, and making findings consistent with institutional policy.
  • Advise students regarding conduct procedures, rights, responsibilities, and appeal processes and facilitate conflict resolution, restorative practices, and informal resolution processes when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential conduct records in the institution’s conduct management system including the monitoring of educational and disciplinary sanction completion.
  • Support appeals process and prepare documentation for conduct review boards or senior administrators.
  • Supervises, trains and assigns conduct hearings to part-time student conduct administrators (hearing officers)
  • Contact with parents concerning student issues related to student conduct and residence life
  • Assist with the development, revision, and interpretation of the Code of Student Conduct and related policies, while also ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations, including due process requirements.
  • Develop, implement and support campus prevention and education programming/materials related to behavior, accountability, and community standards.
  • Collaborate with Residence Life, Campus Safety, Counseling Services, Title IX, and other campus partners on student conduct matters.
  • Assist with conduct-related training for student staff, faculty, and campus partners.
  • Contribute to assessment, data tracking, and reporting related to conduct trends and outcomes.
  • Support crisis response and behavioral intervention efforts in collaboration with CARE/Behavioral Intervention Teams.
  • Participates in committee work for the department, division and/or College as deemed appropriate by the Director of Residence Life & Student Conduct and/or Sr. Director of Student Affairs.
  • Assists in the opening and closing of all residence halls at the beginning and end of each semester and for all breaks.
