About The Position

Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility Provides respiratory care using critical thinking skills learned and refined through education and experience as a Respiratory Therapist. A Respiratory Clinical Coordinator (RRT) demonstrates these skills by successfully completing examinations administered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and earning the credential RRT. Assesses and evaluates results, and implements complex methods of providing care. Participates in the delivery of care and functions as a specialty clinical resource for other caregivers. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. Monitors, prioritizes, and organizes work environment to ensure safe and efficient operations in line with Company goals. Works in collaboration with the Director to ensure all established Respiratory departmental operational/financial goals are obtained. Performs other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • Minimum Experience: 5 years of bedside experience in a hospital/critical care setting.
  • Minimum Licensure, Registration, Certification: RRT awarded by the NBRC, LRRT awarded by State of TN, BLS, NRP, and PALS.

Nice To Haves

  • Desired Education: Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • Desired Experience: 7+ years of bedside experience in a hospital/critical care setting with a minimum of 3 years experience in a department leadership role.
  • Desired Licensure, Registration, Certification: RRT-NPS awarded by the NBRC, LRRT awarded by State of TN, BLS, NRP, PALS, and ACLS.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritizes and organizes staff workload.
  • Ensures policies and procedures are properly maintained and executed.
  • Provides patient and family medical education/training as needed.
  • Participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery.
  • Gathers and analyzes data that aligns with the department goals set by the Respiratory Director.
  • Communicates/collaborates with others in providing patient care.
  • Provides clinical leadership and promotes workplace learning.
  • Completes assigned goals.
