Requirements

• B.A. or B.S. degree or Five (5) years of security control room & system maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of Lenel Access Control System and CCTV, VCR and digital recorders.
• Demonstrated knowledge of master keying and key control principles.
• Three (3) years prior supervisory experience with Hospital Security/Safety, Fire, Police, Military Police, Ambulance/EMT, or similar occupation.
• Must demonstrate complete knowledge and application of Security, Safety, or Law Enforcement techniques and procedures.
• Must possess excellent public relations and customer service skills, and must possess effective written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Investigative abilities or experience.
• International Association for Hospital Security and Safety Certification preferred, but will train and certify as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the daily operations, programming and preventative maintenance of the Security Control Center and associated security systems and equipment.
• Responsible to ensure adequate security staffing is provided.
• Assumes operational security management responsibility in absence of Manager of Security.
• Required to interface with visitors, staff, physicians, patients and family members.
