About The Position

The main purpose of this full-time Developmental Disabilities (DD) Targeted Case Management (TCM) Coordinator of Community Services (CCS) position will be to provide a fixed point of entry into the service delivery system for individuals with developmental disabilities. The CCS will provide advocacy, service planning and monitoring of services for eligible individuals to determine the most appropriate services in the most integrated setting available. This position will also monitor services funded by DDA in the community setting. Additionally, this position will supervise and provide training to lower classification Coordinator of Special Programs staff. Per COMAR Regulations 10.09.48.05E a Coordinator of Community Services shall have: A Bachelors' degree from an accredited college or university in a Human Services field; OR An Associates degree with two (2) years experience in a Human Services field; OR Seven (7) years experience in a Human Services field.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
  • Two years of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources.
  • Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
