Summary: Supports healthcare team by coordinating supplies and equipment for surgery, transportation of specimens, assisting in patient transfer to stretcher under nursing supervision. Maintains room stock and par levels.

Requirements

  • Prior Experience or CSS training.
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control standards.
  • Hospital practice, procedure and policies.
  • Core technologist competency.
  • High School or Graduate Equivalent Diploma.
  • CPR (BLS).

Responsibilities

  • Coordination of supplies and equipment for scheduled surgery.
  • Restocking and maintaining room par levels.
  • Transport of fresh and frozen section specimens, checking specimen log for transport.
  • Assisting RN in daily activities.
