Job Description We are currently seeking an Analyst to join our Relationship Management team in the Power & Utilities Division and provide support to the business growth of our Corporate Banking customers in this industry sector. This position will be located in our New York City or Charlotte office and offers a hybrid/flexible work arrangement, requiring employees to work from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week, while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days. As an Analyst and member of our team, you will collaborate closely with Relationship Managers (RMs) in support of the team’s business development efforts to market U.S. Bank’s full suite of products. You will also coordinate with Product Partners to help facilitate transactions. At this career level, you will gain exposure to the Corporate Banking customer platform, the Bank’s products and services, as well as an understanding of our customers and their business/industry sector.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • One to three years of previous banking or related finance experience

Nice To Haves

  • Previous banking, finance or sales experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the credit process and debt structures
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provides support including industry research, and maintaining internal reports including deal tracking, pipeline reports, Salesforce reports, etc.
  • Prepares marketing materials for client meetings and prospect acquisition, coordinating with product areas, as well as other activities as identified/directed by the RMs
  • Executes pricing models and compiles information for the credit approval process
  • Conducts due diligence and financial analysis on clients to determine long term financing solutions and cross sell opportunities
  • Consolidates a weekly report highlighting trends in the capital markets
  • Works on special projects analyzing industry trends & challenges and other areas as directed
