The Corporate Banking Analyst plays a key role in gathering, analyzing, and presenting financial data, including tax information and credit documentation, to determine client creditworthiness for corporate banking customers. This position reviews and initiates loan documents for legal and structural considerations, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. The role involves collaborating with Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, and Credit Administration on a multi-billion-dollar loan portfolio, making recommendations for credits and loan presentations, and assisting with mid-sized loans to large multi-bank syndicated facilities. Candidates with an accounting or finance background, including recent graduates, are encouraged to apply. Requirements

  • Some experience in loan processes, credit, credit analysis, documentation, or other directly related experience (a combination of education and experience may meet qualifications)
  • Basic knowledge of credit, credit analysis, and various types of loans
  • Ability to meet deadlines, audit documentation, and solve problems
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with computer software, including spreadsheets, word processing, and credit analysis software
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as an analyst or underwriter preferred

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, interpret, and investigate financial and credit data for corporate banking clients
  • Gather and present financial information and credit documentation
  • Review and initiate loan documents for legal and structural compliance
  • Consult with Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers to make recommendations for credits and loan presentations
  • Assist with loans and depository accounts, including customer service support
  • Serve as backup relationship manager as required
  • Assist with collection efforts and resolution of customer problems
  • May be responsible for disbursement of funds
  • Make calls on clients to better underwrite credits
