About The Position

The Corporate Compliance Specialist will report to the Compliance Manager and support the Compliance Director and Chief Compliance Officer. The position is responsible for assisting with audits, maintaining policy and documentation systems, supporting regulatory education efforts, and helping coordinate interdepartmental compliance functions. This role includes regular interaction with departments such as Legal, IT, Clinical Operations, and Human Resources to ensure consistency with regulatory and internal requirements. The position offers long-term development potential within the compliance or regulatory field.

Requirements

  • Associate degree preferred but not required in healthcare, health information management, public health, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in healthcare, administrative support, or regulatory operations preferred, but not required.
  • Strong interest in compliance and regulatory topics, with a demonstrated ability to learn new systems and concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn compliance software platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with internal audits and monitoring activities, including HIPAA reviews.
  • Maintain compliance hotline, triage cases, and ensure accurate logging and timely follow-up.
  • Support maintenance of policies, procedures, and training documentation.
  • Prepare compliance communications and help coordinate educational campaigns.
  • Participate in committee meetings and act as meeting scribe when required.
  • Track and manage departmental documentation and regulatory reference materials.
  • Assist in third-party vendor review and BAA tracking.
  • Maintain compliance dashboard data, internal communication pages, and calendar updates.
  • Participate in rounding, onboarding, and special events (e.g., Compliance Week).
  • Support ad hoc tasks and special compliance projects as directed by the Manager or Director.
