About The Position

You will be the financial compass for RMW. As our Controller, you’ll build a vision for how our finance function scales, ensuring it’s not only rigorous but also strategically aligned with where we want to go. You’ll translate big-picture goals into financial frameworks that support sustainable growth, while also owning the integrity and precision of all accounting operations. This is a rare opportunity to join at a pivotal moment, lay the foundation of what the finance function becomes over time, coordinating with internal and external partners and stakeholders to execute your vision.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in finance & accounting, with at least 5 in leadership roles
  • Expertise in GAAP, compliance, audits, and financial reporting
  • Proven ability to balance strategic finance (FP&A, capital planning) and hands-on controllership
  • Experience managing external service providers and advisors
  • Skilled at building scalable systems and processes in growing organizations
  • Strong communicator who can distill complex financial concepts into clear insights
  • Resourceful, disciplined, and driven by values of integrity, collaboration, and excellence
  • Desire to be a part of a dynamic, fast-paced, high growth environment with an ambitious, results-oriented team
  • Inclined to “dig in” intellectually and turn insights to action working with business partners across the organization

Nice To Haves

  • CPA strongly preferred; MBA or advanced degree a plus
  • Mergers and acquisition experienced highly valued

Responsibilities

  • Own the financial strategy: long-range planning, forecasts, capital allocation, and scenario modeling
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of all financial reporting, disclosures, and audits
  • Manage accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, reconciliations, tax filings, and month-end close
  • Oversee and coordinate external partners, vendors, and advisors supporting finance
  • Provide actionable insights to the President and corporate leadership team, turning numbers into strategy
  • Evaluate growth opportunities, new services, and investments with financial rigor
  • Identify and implement systems, processes, and automation to scale the finance function
  • Communicate complex financial topics clearly to non-financial stakeholders
  • Instill a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement
  • Gain the trust of our office-level leadership as “go to” resource for financial and operational information to support their offices’ financial success Collaborate with M&A team on underwriting of acquisitions
  • Interface with capital providers including lenders and investors
