About The Position

Amazon Health Service’s mission is to make it dramatically easier for customers

Amazon Legal is looking for a talented attorney to support our healthcare
technology efforts, including revolutionizing healthcare delivery through
innovative AI-enabled solutions. In this role, you will support foundational
technology efforts, new business initiatives, and customer products and services
for our Amazon Health Services teams. You will advise on regulatory strategies,
identifying and mitigating critical legal and reputational risks, and developing
compliance mechanisms. Periodic limited travel will be required.

You will serve as a business partner and trusted advisor to our builder teams,
leading development of strategies to address legal issues in creative,
business-centric ways. You will build processes that address risk and allow the
business flexibility and freedom to move quickly. The successful candidate will
be inquisitive, enthusiastic about both technology and healthcare, enjoy
continuous challenges and a fast pace, and demonstrate sound judgment even in
ambiguous situations.

Your day will be far from ordinary. You'll collaborate closely with our
technology and healthcare teams, diving into complex legal challenges that
require creative problem-solving. Expect to engage in strategic discussions,
analyze emerging regulatory landscapes, and develop innovative compliance
frameworks that enable our teams to move quickly and confidently.

Requirements

• 5+ years of legal experience
• Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
• Experience in Regulatory Law
• Experience in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) Standards Law
• Background in healthcare technology or digital health regulations, including medical devices regulated by the FDA
• Experience with regulatory and compliance frameworks in healthcare and/or technology
