About The Position

The Corporate Development Manager intern role is responsible for leading and supporting M&A transaction execution in partnership with global Business Unit and core functional leaders. Transaction execution responsibilities include the full M&A lifecycle from pipeline development, due diligence, synergy and dyssynergy analysis, document negotiation, valuation, integration and separation planning and final business case development approval. This role is global in nature and would be expected to partner with business leaders and functional leaders around the world.

Requirements

  • Education Must be in student status at an accredited Master of Business and Administration program during the internship.
  • Must be pursuing a Master's in Business and Administration.
  • Must have graduated with a 4-year degree from an accredited University.
  • 4 years of working, in a corporate/business development, private equity, financial structuring, business strategy, or investment banking environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, valuation and synergy development
  • Legal documentation and negotiation skills ability to lead a team and influence other leaders
  • Ability to evaluate situations objectively
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions that are intended to have a positive impact on the total business.
  • Demonstrated personal flexibility in approach and ideas
  • Demonstrated ability to respond positively and supports changes in procedures, process, technology, responsibility and assignments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skill

  • Preferred major of Economics, Accounting, Finance, Business or Engineering
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed environment and influencing a global workforce

Responsibilities

  • Partner on enhancement of mergers and acquisition pipeline, diligence and integration processes
  • Develop business cases and analyze synergies and risks.
  • Prepare presentations for potential Corporate Development opportunities to be presented to Business Group Leaders, CFO, CEO and Executive Committee.
  • Responsible for financial modeling of transactions, structure development and reflecting due diligence findings in valuations
  • Transaction execution responsibilities include the full M&A lifecycle from pipeline development, due diligence, synergy and dyssynergy analysis, document negotiation, valuation, integration and separation planning and final business case development approval.
  • Ability to manage a transaction team
  • Influence senior leadership and executives to drive alignment on transactions.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless integration.
