About The Position

At Ferrellgas our corporate roles are fully remote, enabling talented professionals to support our field operations from wherever they are. These positions play a critical role in driving business growth, providing strategic and operational support that empowers our teams in the field to deliver exceptional results.Ferrellgas is seeking a motivated senior undergraduate or graduate student to join our Treasury team this summer as an intern. This remote internship will begin in June 2026 with a duration of 12 weeks, dependent on business need. The primary focus of this role is leading a company-wide census of credit card capabilities and payment equipment across all field locations. This is a high-visibility project that offers meaningful exposure to treasury operations, stakeholder engagement, and enterprise-level data analysis. This intern will work cross-functionally, communicating directly with local leadership at field sites, gathering and consolidating data, identifying gaps or unmet needs, and ultimately presenting findings and recommendations to Treasury management.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a senior undergraduate or graduate student in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort engaging with professional stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data collection and analysis.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or otherwise authorized to work in the United States
  • Applicants must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework or prior experience in treasury, banking, payments, or financial operations preferred.
  • Prior internship or professional experience in a corporate or financial services environment preferred.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Excel charts, Tableau, Power BI) preferred.
  • Familiarity with payment processing systems, POS equipment, or merchant services preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and distribute a standardized data collection instrument (survey or interview guide) for field locations.
  • Coordinate scheduling and conduct outreach to field site contacts across multiple regions.
  • Build and maintain a master database or tracker of credit card equipment and capabilities.
  • Analyze collected data to identify patterns, gaps, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Treasury and Finance team members to validate findings.
  • Assist with transactional analysis, documentation, and process support while gaining practical experience in a fast-paced finance environment.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency
  • Provide general administrative and analytical support to the Treasury team
  • Other tasks as assigned
