About The Position

Our Corporate Security Receptionist courteously and professionally greets, and directs as needed, all employees, vendors and customers. Monitors and directs all incoming phone calls from central telephone system, and may be required to perform other general administrative duties. Protects and safeguards security of assets, team members, vendors and all visitors. Schedule: M-F, 8:00 AM - 3:30PM Location: 8515 Miralani Dr, San Diego, CA 92126 The day-to-day: Assigned primarily to main lobby however on some occasions may be deployed to other secured areas throughout the company. Answers central telephone system and directs calls accordingly. Prepares outgoing mail; sorts and distributes incoming mail. Assists with organization and distribution of incoming packages. Screens visitors, vendors and guests before assigning appropriate access to the building. Issues security badges to team members, contractors and visitors ensuring that all security procedures are met. Facilitates the process of controlling building keys issued for secure, controlled areas. Composes types and edits correspondence, reports, memoranda and other material. Responds to medical emergencies and serious incidents, as needed. Monitors company CCTV systems to ensure that appropriate security clearances are maintained. Ensures the timely and accurate completion of product transfer paperwork, and completes audit counts of site product transfers. Assists, as assigned, with controlling incoming and outgoing mail and packages working with internal departments and with shipping vendors. Responds to inquiries from employees, vendors, and outside customers and refers, when necessary, to the appropriate person, official or department. Develops and maintains a variety of office forms and procedures, and assists with general administrative tasks. May assist other departments with overflow of administrative duties, per business need. Assists in developing and revising existing processes across all departments to improve workflow

Requirements

  • Minimum HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have minimum of one year of security experience: Military, law enforcement or private sector.
  • Experience in office and/or general administrative clerical duties preferred, to include management of multiple line phone systems and familiarity with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Dependable and reliable, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to include verbal, interpersonal and written. Must be able to speak to employees, visitors and vendors in a professional manner, face to face, by phone and in email interactions.
  • Excellent time management skills, with ability to quickly prioritize and follow-through on assigned tasks
  • Flexible and willing to learn new procedures.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work scheduled or last minute overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves
