About The Position

Corporate Security Specialist - Decatur, IL Position Summary The Corporate Security Specialist Decatur Complex will be responsible for the day to day management of security operations across the Decatur, Macon Country footprint. In this role you will coordinate the maintenance, and continuous improvement of integrated security programs that protect people, assets, intellectual property, and operational integrity. This role will coordinate with our corporate security leadership to facilitate cross-functional coordination in regard to the: Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), Emergency Management, Facilities, EHS, GT, and senior leadership to ensure a unified, risk-based approach to security. This position requires an experienced decision maker capable of executing in tandem with 3rd party security officers to protect the life safety of ADM staff, contractors and visitors. This role will report directly to senior corporate security management in North America and require the ability to deploy throughout the Decatur footprint on short notice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in corporate security, investigations, law enforcement, or military.
  • Experience conducting internal or workplace investigations.
  • Strong interviewing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel on short notice
  • Technically proficient and able to learn new tools and skills.
  • Good command of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point etc.)
  • Deep understanding physical security infrastructure components applicability such as CCTV, Alarm Systems, Perimeter Controls and Access Control Systems.
  • Must be able to walk, climb and physically move throughout ADM’s many industrial environments.
  • Holder of a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the risk profile, crime trends and emergency networks within the Decatur and Macon County jurisdictions.
  • CPP, CFE, PCI, or similar certification.
  • Experience in a global or Fortune 100 environment.
  • Knowledge of workplace violence frameworks and methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the 3rd party contracted guard force, enforcing and adapting post orders to ensure reliability and execution.
  • Partner with Facility Managers, Human Resources, HSE and Legal, and leadership to ensure alignment around the footprints security posture and necessary adjustments.
  • Conduct investigations and provide accurate and objective reports to management per local regulations and ADM policy.
  • Conduct behavioral threat assessments to support an integrated workplace violence prevention program.
  • Support emergency management objectives through coordination with local law enforcement and emergency services.
  • Develop and execute security strategies to support event management throughout Decatur and Macon County.
  • Conduct site security risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and threat evaluations.
  • Implement policies and procedures consistent with corporate security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop security related policies and initiatives per ADM and industry-wide best practices
  • Conduct training for internal colleagues on a wide variety of security related topics
  • Conduct thorough research projects and provide management with key findings.
  • Act as primary point of contact for 3rd party contractor access to the Decatur Complex.
  • Liaise with law enforcement and external partners.
  • Coordinate journey management and security transportation needs in Decatur, Macon County.
