Role Summary: We are looking for a motivated Corporate Strategy and Operations Associate to join athenahealth’s Corporate Strategy and Development team. This position provides an exciting opportunity to support key strategic initiatives that help drive the growth and success of the company. The associate will report directly to the Director of Corporate Strategy and Development and play a vital role in supporting business planning and operational activities. Team Summary: The Corporate Strategy and Development team sits at the intersection of our Executive Leadership, private equity sponsors, and industry leading product platform. The team drives growth-oriented decisions such where and how athenahealth competes, where resources are deployed, and is the owner of our acquisition roadmap. athenahealth is in an exciting period in its history as the company continues to grow in its core markets and builds a repeatable model for business expansion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, product strategy, investment banking, or related fields.
  • Experience supporting strategic planning, business case development, or operational projects in a corporate environment preferred.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest or experience in healthcare or healthcare IT is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tactical support of critical CEO/ELT sponsored programs.
  • Business analytics for athena and market data sets
  • Conduct market and competitive research to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help align strategy and operational execution.
  • Contribute to tracking and reporting on key performance metrics related to strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in coordinating communication and collaboration across internal teams and external partners.
  • Participate in special projects that support corporate growth and development objectives.
  • Support financial modeling and data analysis efforts.
  • Prepare materials and presentations for leadership and stakeholder meetings.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technology relevant to healthcare and healthcare IT.
  • Help organize strategic workshops and team meetings.
  • Engage in knowledge sharing within the team to support continuous learning.
