We are currently seeking a Cost Estimator Intern for the summer of 2026 to work on-site in Fenton, Michigan.

Requirements

Proficient with Microsoft Office and Visual Basic.
Ability to work optimally with minimum supervision.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Exemplary planning and organizational skills (multi-tasking and time-management).
Ability to prioritize tasks and projects.
Self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork and facilitation skills.

Nice To Haves

Working Towards a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering at Junior or Seniors status.

Responsibilities

Update estimating documents by adding Excel formulas and Visual Basic components.
Contact vendors to facilitate pricing updates.
Analyze historical data to help improve estimating accuracy.
Assist in implementing new estimating software with guidance from the Project Management Team.
Maintain and update cost databases and estimating tools.
Organize and document estimates and reports.
Prepare technical documentation, submittals, and reports.
Participate in team meetings and project discussions.
