The Cost Manager (Procore Administrator) position is part of Cumming Group's Los Angeles Cost Management Department and will be based on-site with a local Los Angeles developer, responsible for monitoring and reporting project or program costs compared to budget or contract. The role involves understanding the master budget and funding to provide general program coordination, program-level reporting, and analytical reports for phases of project completion. In addition, the position serves as a Procore System Administrator for Cumming Group.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years serving as a Procore Administrator
  • Proven experience administering construction project management software
  • Proficiency in using Procore construction management software
  • Strong understanding of construction project workflows and documentation
  • Excellent technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot software issues
  • Experience with software integration and customization
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to conduct effective training sessions and create instructional materials
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Education: BS in Construction, Cost & Commercial Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field
  • Experience: more than 3 years’ experience post-receiving undergraduate degree working in related field
  • Preferred Certification: Working towards Professional Certification – MRICS, AssocRICS, CCP, CEP, CPE or equivalent.

  • Track quality data for budgets, contracts, change orders, trends, and actual costs
  • Assist with constructability review, value engineering, pay application reviews, schedule development, FF&E program development, and execution
  • Conduct closeout activities on Procore
  • Interact with client accounting and purchasing staff
  • Coordinate client financial information with Procore for reconciliation of program controls data for monthly reporting purposes
  • Gather and track quality data used for budgets, contracts, change orders, trends, and actual costs
  • Routinely review pay applications, change orders, and contracts for accuracy and alignment with budget and board approval
  • Close out financials for projects
  • Maintain management reporting data
  • Ensure timely financial progress reporting
  • Review project documents for accuracy
