The Antenna and Microwave Department has an opportunity for a flexible, multi-disciplined engineer who is seeking to utilize his/her strong background in Active Electronically Steered Array (AESA) radars with experience leading costing activities. The successful candidate will utilize their strong communication, both verbal and written, and organizational skills to craft strongly researched and well written engineering bids. This is an onsite role located in Tewksbury, MA

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five years of prior relevant experience to include any combination of the following:
  • Experience with proposal writing
  • Experience with cost bid generation
  • Experience with generating TINA (Truth in Negotiating Act) compliant bids
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S Citizenship is required, as only U.S Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SBT and EPIC as well as using the PS-07 tool
  • Being comfortable in a multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to ‘read between the lines’ to understand what is required by the proposal team
  • Strong people skills, especially communication
  • Demonstrated ability to stand ground in the face of conflicting directions and move forward
  • Experience with array hardware development at the radar system level
  • Strong academic background that includes courses in: Antennas, Phased Arrays, Microwave Engineering, Electromagnetic Theory and Radar Systems
  • Near field range, far field range and system level verification testing
  • Technical writing and oral presentation background

Responsibilities

  • Interface with hardware leads
  • Write Basis of Estimates (BOEs) based on well thought out reasoning and defending bids to management.
  • Support both electrical and department level proposals at 50%, department level metrics development and support at 25%, and RF/Microwave at 25%.
