About The Position

As a Cook at our upscale Italian restaurant, Costa, passion meets tradition. You’ll play a starring role in creating unforgettable dining experiences for our guests by presenting them with incredible moments to cherish during their visit with us here at MGM Springfield. This is an opportunity to bring your culinary expertise to a setting that values precision, skill, and creativity.

Requirements

1+ Years of Prior experience as a professional Cook in a high-volume production or fine dining restaurant is preferred
Willing and able to work Full-Time schedule, consisting of 40 hours per week.
Fridays and Saturdays are a MUST including weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

Strong knowledge of Italian and/or fine dining cuisines and cooking techniques is a bonus

Responsibilities

Maintain solid knowledge of food products and skillfully apply culinary techniques
Identify and safely use kitchen equipment
Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service
Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
Maintain solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation
Assist kitchen leadership and staff in execution of service
Maintain solid knowledge, understanding and preparation of base sauces, stocks and soups
